Foundations of Training Classes
Foundations of Training Classes
For dogs 16 months and older
This class will introduce you to the tools and concepts for training your dog to do anything. You will learn how to communicate with your dog and shape their behavior to address problems such as jumping on people, stealing household objects, bolting out the door, barking out the window and other unwanted behaviors. This class will teach you how to think and respond like a dog trainer so you can be your dog’s best friend.
Beyond Basics Classes
Beyond Basics Classes
For dogs who have passed the Foundations of Training Class
This class will turn your new training skills, and your dog’s new learning skills, into basic commands you can use to help your dog move through life.
Commands covered include come, walking politely on leash and stay. In addition, the course will introduce you to helping your dog enjoy handling (as for vet/medical needs and grooming care).
This course can be repeated as many times as you like. The instructor will let you know when you and your dog are ready for this class.
Canine Good Citizen
Canine Good Citizen
For owners who want to advance past the Beyond Basics Class
Canine Good Citizen is a 10-skill test that teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners including greetings, sitting politely, general handling, moving politely through crowds, obedience commands, coming when called, behaving politely around other dogs.
