5 International Association of Animal Behavior Counselors
This prfessional association is one of a growing number that certifies those trainers expertly schooled in the field of animal behavior. It's a great place for you to find a specialist near you if you're having a serious issue.
6 Certified Applied Animal Behaviorists
Certfied Applied Animal Behaviorists are those who have either a PhD or a Veterinary degree with a specialization in animal behavior. No one else, no matter how many years they've been training, can join unless the get these degrees (and pass other enrollment tests or standards). The professionals listed here are at the top of their field but there are only a handful in the country. Fortunatly, there are about 5 of them in the New England area. Unfortunately, they are listed alsphbetically by last name, so you'll have to search through the list for one located near you.
